Forged Steel Lift Check Valves

Forged Steel Lift Check Valve

Product Overview

FAC Forged Steel Lift Check Valves are manufactured to BS 5352 standards for high-pressure services. These compact valves are designed to prevent backflow in steam, air, gas, and water systems.

Key Characteristics:

  • Compliant with BS 5352.
  • Forged Carbon Steel (A 105) construction.
  • Suitable for Class 800 and 1500.
  • Guided disc for tight shut-off.

Application & Function

Lift check valves are designed for high-pressure steam, air, gas, and water applications. They are ideal for pulsating flow systems where swing check valves might wear prematurely.

These valves rely on line pressure to lift the disc off its seat (or spring pressure) to allow flow. When flow stops, gravity or back-pressure seats the disc, preventing reverse flow.

Design Features

The forged steel body (A 105) provides superior strength for Class 800 and 1500 services. The disc is guided to ensure alignment and prevent slamming, reducing wear and noise.

  • Compact Forged Design
  • Bolted Bonnet
  • Guided Disc & Seat
  • Minimal Pressure Drop

Construction & Materials

The body and bonnet are forged from ASTM A 105 carbon steel. The valve features a replaceable seat and a disc that is guided to prevent vibration and ensure tight sealing.
